Samba drumming
This year 4M and 4K have enjoyed a 14 week project (on one afternoon per week) learning the art of Samba drumming. This can be a very noisy activity (no complaints fron the neighbours yet!) but the tutors are very professional and coach the children into producing a wonderful Samba sound. They not only use drums as the title suggests, but also other musical instruments and part of the experience includes learning traditional Samba rhythms and rhymes.

Y4 At the Tower of London
On Thursday 7th May 2009 4M and 4K went to the historic Tower of London. All the children were very excited to find out more about Tudors for their history topic. We travelled by train to Tower Hill and arrived at about 10:15.The children consolidated their knowledge on Henry Vlll and the Tudors by looking at artefacts and seeing Henry's full body armour for real! The children also took part in a drama workshop where they performed in small groups to the pubilc.Over all, it was a fantastic day and many children were saying how much they would like to return.
